I was indeed wowed during the Gala Night of the Ugbajo Itsekiri UK held in London on August 26, 2017. The next day was an extraordinary Itsekiri masquerade (yes, Umale) performance! I had fun! Real fun!
The hall of the 5-star hotel venue of the Gala Night was filled to capacity with quality audiences from different parts of the world including Nigeria (see some pictures on page 24). One of the high points of the night was the screening of my documentary film titled, ITSEKIRI IN CAPSULE to the international audience.
After the film show and based on request by virtually everybody to get a copy of the documentary, I had no choice than to give the distribution rights of the documentary in Europe and America to the Ugbajo Itsekiri UK in a symbiotic arrangement. This would further boost their resource base in the charity works they engage in both home and abroad.
I also know that the Ugbajo Itsekiri USA Incorporated currently under the leadership of Mr. Kingsley Onuwaje, and the Itsekiri Community in Canada are all representing and flying the Itsekiri flag very high abroad. Kudos to you all. That is the way to go! Aghan yene! Aja mo kin aghan!
