The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), inaugurated its State caucus, Senatorial and 10 functional committees last August at the party’s secretariat in Asaba.
The acting Publicity Secretary of the party in Delta State, Engr. Leonard Obibi made this known in a chat with Vanguard, noting that the party is now set to unseat the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in 2019.
According to Obibi, the 10 functional committees cover Finance, strategy, research/policy, publicity, contacts, grassroots mobilization, election, reconciliation/peace, welfare, security and youths mobilization alongside with 3 senatorial district committees. According to him, “the party will leverage on these organs in its quest to take over the Government House”
Obibi said party chieftians and leaders present at the inauguration included, Ntufam Hilard Eta, the National Vice Chairman (South-South) of the party, who inaugurated the State caucus and all the other committees, Honorable Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, Chief Adolo Okotie-Eboh, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, Chief (Engr) Hyacinth Enuha, the Chief host and state Chairman of the party, Prophet Jones Ode Erue and a host of other dignitaries.
