Warri monarch, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli has charged the new leadership of troubled oil-reach Omadino community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State to deploy the funds accruing to the community in transforming it and also ensure empowerment of the youths through job placement and skills acquisition programmes.
The Olu of Warri gave the charge at his palace in Warri early last month while inaugurating the Dr. Robinson Eyekosi-Uwatse-led 9-man Omadino Community Management Committee. According to the royal father, the time has come for Omadino funds to be spent transparently and properly instead of wasting it on unnecessary court and police cases.
Earlier in his acceptance speech, Dr. Eyekosi-Uwatse on behalf of the other executives promised to work harmoniously for the interest of Omadino community, even as he called for the support, cooperation, encouragement and understanding of all.
“We intend to do things the new way, with Jehovah guidance and direction. The new spirit of Omadino now, is Omadino community first before self. It will not be game as usual as intimidation, threat, and sectionalism and over heating of individual or family. As the saying goes, no matter how dark the night it, it will give way to light and day”
While further pledging to uphold the constitution of Omadino community, the Chairman disclosed that his led Omadino Community Management Committee shall administer the community through sub committees like Education/Health, Project Monitoring, Traditional/Cultural, Land/Litigation, Reconciliation and the last but not the least, Security Committee.
Other executives are Mr. Nelson Amiwero (Secretary), Mrs. Esther Metete (P.R.O.), Mr. Gabriel Ebietomere (Treasurer), Mr. Benjamin Akoreh (Asst. Secretary), Mr. Godspower Diden (Financial Secretary), Mr. Godwin Mogbeyiteren (Member), Mrs. Grace Yomere (Member) and Mrs. Tseye Mene (Member).
