Veteran Nollywood star actor, Saint Obi, has been confirmed dead at the age of 57 after a protracted illness.
Multiple sources said he died earlier in the week after battling an undisclosed illness for several months with no successful treatment.
Nollywood actress and Producer, Steph Nora Okere who spoke to this medium from Jos, confirmed the death of the “Take Me To Mama” actor and Producer.
Film Festival entrepreneur, Mykel Parish postel on the Film4life International WhatsApp platform: “He called me not long ago that he was very sick and in the hospital somewhere in the north. Needed to raise funds for his treatment.”
Other colleagues have expressed shock at his sudden death. The late Obi is the only son with 8 other female siblings. It was reported in the mass media that he had serious issues with his ex wife and brother in-laws, where he alleged that they tried to kill him in the house.
