The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja III has said that there is no issue between the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR and the Ologbotsere of Warri, Chief Ayiri Emami, even as he took time to pray for Warri Kingdom.
The Ooni who visited separately the Olu of Warri at his palace and the Ologbotsere at his Ubeji, Warri home on Saturday night, stated this during his visit to the home of Chief Emami, pointing out that God Almighty had raised a King for the Itsekiri nation so all hands should be on deck for the progress of Warri kingdom.
According to the Ooni, the Olu was elated when he told him at the palace that he was going to visit Chief Ayiri Emami.
Said the Ooni, “We all know the state of affairs in Warri Kingdom and I won’t shy away from it . The issue to me is for them (the Olu and Ologbotsere) to continue to cement the relationship and togetherness and progress of the entire Itsekiri people with our new king.
“I just left Ogiame Atuwatse III now. And I said I was coming to Chief Ayiri’s place! He was very happy. I will tell you the truth, there is no issue between the two of them. Please quote me, I mean two of them. They are coming out stronger for the betterment of the entire Warri Kingdom, and to the glory of God, I am playing my role very well.
“Ologbotsere (referring to Chief Ayiri), keep doing what you are doing. You know how to do it. It’s a gift. You don’t want anything to stain your heritage.”
The Ooni also took time to pray for Chief Ayiri, describing him as one with so much love for the Warri kingdom, adding, “I don’t go to private houses. God has chosen the King. You love this Kingdom more than anything. You have a beautiful heart, which a lot of people may not know. We have seen in several fora.”
“Ologbotsere, you will live long. The spirit of our ancestors will continue to bless you. This is bitter kola, Ologbotsere, you will live long. This is Kolanut, it will speak positivity to your life,” the Ooni prayed.
The monarch, lifting a white native chalk, said, ”this is Efun, we use it to connect to our ancestors. Anywhere you find this you find peace, you find vision, you find wealth. I touch this and hand it over to you. You will continue to find peace. A lot of abundance you will continue to have in Iwereland. May God be with you and protect you.”
Responding, the Ologbostere of Warri, Chief Ayiri Emami thanked the Ooni of Ife for deeming it fit to visit him at home, even as he stressed that the visit was an honour he did not and shall never take for granted.
The billionaire business mogul and politician Ologbotsere pointed out that he is a man of peace and would always toe the path of peace in the overall interest of the Itsekiri and Warri Kingdom. He however emphasised that he is only a messenger of the Almighty God, Itsekiri ancestors and the extant laws guiding the Warri Kingdom, which existed even before he was born. Speaking in the Itsekiri dialect, he said, “utse ta’ran ukor ee’ka kpa ukor.” Meaning, the message given to a messenger to deliver can not kill the messenger.
While the Ooni was accompanied by his Queen and some persons from his palace, some of those with the the Ologbotsere during the royal visit include but not limited to the Spokesperson of the Ologbotsere Descendants Worldwide, Comrade Alex Eyengho and his acting Secretary counterpart, Mr Besidone Esimaje Omaghomi and Hon Efe Oforbruku.
