The Commissioner representing Delta State on the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has urged the newly inaugurated executive of Isoko National Youth Council (INYC) to be relentless in advancing Isoko development.
He made the call when members of the executives of INYC paid him a courtesy call in his office. According to the Commissioner, every association has a legal right to advance Isoko development and he’s open and ready to partner with any group or groups with a genuine intention for Isoko development.
“Freedom of association is your right, in as much as you have a genuine heart to advance Isoko Nation. Therefore, I’m open to all groups committed to the development of Isoko Nation, Delta State and Nigeria. You must therefore be steadfast and relentless in the struggle for Isoko development till our voice is heard.
Speaking on behalf of the executives, President of INYC, Comrade Isheri Maclins harped on the unity of Isoko, as no individual can develop a nation. In his words “The pursuit for Isoko development is a collective effort and no individual can drive home the needed development of any nation on personal capacity.”
In his remark, one time President-General of Irri Community, Chief Joshua Uturu, urged the youth, particularly of Isoko nation, to build capacity that will make them self-reliant and independent.
Members of the Commissioner’s team who hosted INYC executives are the Special Assistant to the Commissioner, Barr. Rockson Igelige, a one time Secretary General of Oleh Community, Julius Malam-Obi, PA to the Commissioner, Isuosuo Samson Aruthoho Donbrando, Political Aid to the Hon Commissioner, Karo Philip Oghogho and Browne Asure.
The delegation of INYC exco are, a member Board of Trustees, Ewenede Hezekiah, the first and second Vice Presidents, Mr. Newyear Efih and Engr Godstime Oghenero Akokotu respectively, the Speaker, Comrade Philip and other members of the executives.
