The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the nomination of Chief Bernard Okumagba as member of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Chief Okumagba would represent Delta State on the Federal intervention agency Board. Also, two other members of the Board whose appointments were confirmed are Patrick Aisowieren, representing Edo State and Kyrian Chidiebere Uchegbu, representing Imo State.
This development followed the adoption of the report of the Committee on Niger Delta, presented by Senator Amos Bulus (APC, Gombe State).
President Muhammadu Buhari had recently sought the Senate’s nod to screen and confirm the three nominees on the board of the NDDC.
